Dean’s is the first top-class student & guest house, offering high quality accommodation for international and Hungarian students, and also for urban explorers. The development was the first large-scale, privately owned, purpose-built student residence in Hungary, with 418 en-suite rooms. The site was first developed as the Laboratory Precision Engineering Works’ in the 1950’s.

Student accommodation and private apartments with vibrant community

The factory building was closed in 1991 and the fire brigade were temporarily located in the building, but then the site was left abandoned. From 2005 the ruined building functioned as the site of the Tűzraktér cultural center and offered introduction and practice opportunities to young artists, actors and architects.

Modern student housing and guest rooms for travellers in Budapest

The building, except for the temporary utilization of Tűzraktár, was left abandoned for about 25 years. The site and it’s surroundings due to the accommodation investment has been renewed and expanded with a ground floor +6 storey high wing.
